Oversight

Tools for seeing what is happening: a per-conference activity log, an optional AI check on the submission page, and the workspace that holds all your conferences together.

Activity log

Every conference keeps a log of significant actions — registrations, paper submissions, review activity, payments, e-mails sent, sign-ins — each entry stamped with its date and time (in the conference's timezone), a category tag, the acting user's e-mail, and the IP address. The log is filterable by tag and by date range, and is the first place to look when reconstructing “who changed what, when”.

AI paper check

Conferences can offer authors an AI-powered check of their paper's logic, structure, and writing, shown as a button on the submission page. The check is an independent service outside the conference organization: using it opens the external checker in a new tab and shares the author's e-mail address with it. The button can be switched off per conference.

The multi-conference workspace

The My Conferences portal lists every conference an account holds any role in — organizer, reviewer, or participant — with status filters for running and finished conferences. Chairs create new conferences from here, and every organizer page's breadcrumb trail leads back to it. It is the one page that spans conferences; everything else in SmartChair lives inside exactly one.
