Paper, Innovative Experience, Video Analysis and Poster Submission Guidelines
This webpage includes guidelines for the format of the final submission of papers and documents for the CMC-AP2017 Proceedings and Springer Volume, and guidelines for the preparation of posters. Click on these links to go to the relevant section.
1. Final Document Submission Guidelines
CMC-AP2017 accepts submissions in four categories: Papers (oral presentation), Poster Presentation with Paper, Presentation of Innovative Experience and Micro-Analysis of Activity Video. Each of these different types of papers is described in the formal Call for Papers. Please observe this conference is about concept mapping, so papers that are not about concept mapping will be rejected.
All papers should be presented in English or Chinese. The Proceedings of the Conference will be published as a book, therefore special attention needs to be paid to the paper formatting, particularly on the camera-ready submission. A Microsoft Word template/sample paper is available as a guideline, which must be followed closely. Papers submitted in technically unsuitable form will not be published in the Proceedings. A selected number of papers will be published as part of the CMC2018 selected papers book.
Oral Presentation Papers: maximum length of 10 pages.
Poster Presentation with Paper: maximum length of 4 pages.
Presentation of Innovative Experience: maximum length of 2 pages.
Micro-Analysis of Activity Video: maximum length of 4 pages.
Two Stage Submission
The submission process consists of two stages.
We’ve added an Early Submission date (May 10) for those authors who need to know early whether their paper has been accepted or not, usually to request financial support. The regular submission deadline is June 30. You can do your submission at any of the two dates.
Early Submission Deadline: May 10, 2017
Early Submission Notification of Acceptance: May 20, 2017
Submission Deadline: June 30, 2017
Notification of Acceptance: July 20, 2017
Final Camera-ready Submissions: August 10, 2017
All submissions should be written in English or Chinese.
2. Oral Presentation Papers and Posters with Paper
Oral Presentation Paper submissions should have a maximum length of 10 pages. Poster with Paper and Virtual Poster with Paper submissions should have a maximum length of 4 pages. Please note that the complete paper must be submitted for review, a submission consisting only of an abstract will not be considered for these categories.
Please use the following Word documents as a guideline for your paper. All papers, posters, symposium and roundtables use the same format, the difference is in the length of the papers submitted. If you are submitting a Poster without Paper, just delete all the text after the Abstract. For an Innovative Experience, write a one-page description following the given format for the title and authors.

4. Micro-Analysis of Activity Videos
We have prepared a form for this category of submissions. Note that you are expected to submit this form together with your video, and also contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Submitting only the video or only the form will not be considered. We strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to get comments and feedbacks on your concept-map related activities, especially classroom activities. If you wish you submission to be included in our proceeding, since we can not directly include a video file, we ask you to provide, besides the video and the description form, also a full paper. Format of the paper will be the same as the full papers for oral presentation. Just note that the maximum length is 4 pages. We also provide a template here with suggestive section names.
