Travel: Hefei has an international airport served by all major Chinese airlines (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hefei_Xinqiao_International_Airport). Via they Hefei South railway station, Hefei is connected to the bullet express train system of China. Among the existing connections are Beijing (ca. 4.5 hours), Wuhan (ca. 1.5 hours), Nanjing (1 hour), Guangzhou (ca. 6 hours). In particular, the bullet train connection with Shanghai (about 2.5-3 hours, tickets ca. 25 Euros, first class: 33 Euros) might be interesting for international travellers since Shanghai is served by all major international airlines. Taxis in China are extremely cheap and can be called at street level.

Visa: Though in general visa applications in Chinese consulates are rather easy and can be done in a short time, we advise to plan ahead and apply well in time for the visa. More information to come soon. Participants requiring an early application for visa should contact the local organizer, regarding letters of invitation, etc.
