Integer-Point Binary Approximating Subdivision Schemes

A general formula to generate a family of integer-point binary approximating subdivision schemes with a parameter is proposed in this paper. It is shown that some existing approximating subdivision schemes are special cases of this kind of subdivision. The proposed subdivision schemes have higher smoothness and approximating order compared with those of the existing subdivision schemes.
